·         Brrrrrrr, are you cold too in the last days? The forecast is bad and cold for the next days, too. So please provide shelter and warmth to your pets.  Short coated dogs have to wear coats, especially if they normally live in our warm living rooms. When walking them, don`t make long stops, since they get cold quickly if they don`t move. Hairy dogs nave a totally different problem: the annoying snowballs on their paws and bellies. Take care of the coat or avoid deep snow, if you dog tends to have this problem. If hew lives outside, check his doggie house and kennel if it is warm enough and dry.  

·        When you come back from the walks, dry the paws, if it is possible, rinse them with moderatly warm water.

·         When needed, give your dog a more energetic meal. He needs more energy in the winter to keep himself warm!

·         It is a bit cold for the obbedience excersizes, at least my Thandiwe just can`t wait to be back home on her pillow! Nevertheless you can still teach you dog some tricks at home It can be something very easy like “shake hands” or you can play games - hide and seek, of a toy, he then has to find. There are plenty of possibilities, the important thing is to have fun!
